For those early adopters of the Plasma 2 interface and KDE Frameworks 5, KWrite is the latest KDE application to be ported over to the next-generation KDE stack.

KWrite and KatePart are now available in early form atop the KDE Frameworks 5 libraries over KDE4. The port is still in progress with some items still to be improved, but the KDE text-editor is now available for testing. The Kate text editor will also be ported soon to KDE Frameworks 5.

More details on the KWrite porting to KDE Frameworks 5 can be found via this Kate-Editor.org blog post.
