Since the advent of Project Neon it's been made very easy to try out KDE Frameworks 5 and Plasma 2 for Kubuntu Linux users, however, it's now even easier.

The Project Neon team has begun assembling Project Neon 5 ISOs for experiencing KDE Frameworks 5 and Plasma Workspaces 2 without having to manually install the packages. Now there's an easy ISO for booting into a KDE Frameworks 5 + Plasma 2 experience, but it's still a highly unstable experience. The developers have recommended only testing out the ISO under KVM or VirtualBox.

More details on the arrival of Project Neon ISOs can be found via this developer blog post. The tech preview of KDE Frameworks 5 is still due out this month (along with Qt 5.2) while the new KDE software should be stabilized further into 2014.
