The final beta build ahead of the long-awaited and delayed FreeBSD 10.0 has now been made available.

Glen Barber announced FreeBSD 10.0-BETA4 this morning on the distribution's mailing list. FreeBSD 10.0 Beta 4 is available for amd64, i386, ia64, PowerPC, PowerPC64, and SPARC64 architectures. This release adds in support for a few more Realtek network adapters, enables fingerprint checking in pkg, updates some packages, and carries a couple fixes.

FreeBSD 10.0 is running behind schedule but making up for it are many new features when it finally ships around early 2014. Before seeing the final release are three planned release candidates.
