The GNU Mailman 3.0 open-source mailing list software is finally in beta after a major rewrite.

Mailman 3.0 is a complete rewrite and has been in development for several years. Mailman 3.0 is now broken up into different components for sending emails, the web interface, and the web archiver. The new mailing list archives is powered by Hyperkitty, which is reportedly a big improvement for Mailman.

More information on Mailman 3.0 now being in beta can be found via this developer blog post.
