Debian Drops Support For SPARC

Debian has removed their SPARC CPU architecture support from Debian 8.0 "Jessie" testing and it might also be removed from Debian unstable as well.

Debian is losing out on its SPARC support due to lack of porter commitments, problems with the SPARC toolchain, and continued stability issues with Debian's SPARC machines.

The future of Debian SPARC support for the unstable branch is being discussed via this bug report. The announcement of SPARC being dropped from Debian Jessie was made via this mailing list post.
