A new Catalyst 14.4 Linux driver revision has been posted.

A "revision 2" of the Catalyst 14.4 Linux graphics driver was released today to address problems with The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition, a AAA title released for Linux yesterday. As wrote about this morning on Phoronix, the quality of the Linux port of The Witcher 2 is rubbish with using the eON wrapper library for porting the Windows title to Linux.

NVIDIA was the only supported/recommended choice for The Witcher 2 when it launched, but AMD has now put out a new Catalyst driver extremely quickly to hopefully workaround some issues affecting the game.

Those wishing to download the driver can find it at AMD.com while the proper Catalyst Linux driver download page hasn't yet been updated.
