The annual X.Org Developers' Conference (XDC2014) has been announced this year to take place in early October in Bordeaux, France.

Martin Peres, an X.Org Board of Director member and Nouveau developer, will be organizing XDC2014. This open-source event about X.Org, Mesa, and related projects (including now Wayland) is set to happen from 8 October to 10 October in Bordeaux, France. The event will be taking place at the Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique.

Early details can be found on this X.Org Wiki page.

At the moment I haven't decided whether I will go to XDC2014 for Phoronix coverage as in all the past years with a plethora of coverage or due to finances if it's just easier to remotely cover the event from the slides, videos, etc.
