With the KDE 4.13 software compilation expected to ship in mid April, there's a call out for testing of the current KDE 4.13 packages to ensure it will be a great release.

Jos Poortvliet of the openSUSE camp has issued a call for testing of KDE 4.13 on dot.kde.org. Among the areas where they're seeking the community help in testing is for KDE search with Baloo replacing Nepomuk, 4.13 improvements to Kontact, Okular, Kate, Umbrello, and other updated packages.

KDE 4.13 Beta 1 was announced last week while this week already they're planning on the second beta. A third beta should come next week, a release candidate at the end of March, and then hopefully the final release on the 16th of April. Of course, this 4.13 release won't be nearly as exciting as all the happenings taking place right now with KDE Frameworks 5 and Plasma Next that will materialize for more users during the summer.
