Besides FreeBSD 9.3 now being out, so is the latest beta for the upcoming GhostBSD 4.0 release.

GhostBSD remains derived from FreeBSD and focuses upon a nice desktop experience with a similar aim to PC-BSD. GhostBSD 4.0 Beta 3 features new and updated packages and now features three workstation versions. GhostBSD 4.0 has a workstation version built atop MATE Desktop Classic, their "Purity" workstation, and also the "Element" Workstation. All these workstations/desktops are built atop MATE, the GNOME 2.x forked desktop environment.

GhostBSD 4.0 Beta 3 also adds a Xorg boot configuration, CLI driver configuration, GBI fixes, and the FreeBSD base system is updated against their 10.0-RELEASE-p6.

More details on GhostBSD 4.0 Beta 3 can be found at GhostBSD.org.
