The posting mentions, "As a senior software engineer on the SteamOS team, you'll be part of an extremely motivated and experienced group of people. Must be experienced in all phases of a project lifecycle and have great customer focus. May mentor other developers."

Experienced applications should be familiar with Debian Linux, 5+ years experience in commercial software development with low-level languages, ideally be knowledgeable about Linux graphics and audio, and have strong computer science skills.
