MenuetOS Updated With SMP Threads & Onscreen Keyboard

MenuetOS, the operating system written in Assembly and now primarily focused on 64-bit x86 systems and fits on a 1.5MB floppy disk image, is out with a new release.

MenuetOS 0.99.71 is the new release and while there was multi-core support going back a few years with this new version comes support for SMP init and threads. This release also has new keyboard layouts, an onscreen keyboard, wallpaper support, and many other additions.

The mini release notes for this floppy disk OS mention, "Updates and improvements (httpc, ehci, picview, memcheck, menu, wallpaper, ohci, uhci, maps/streetview, icons, dhcp, freeform window, smp threads, smp init, onscreen keyboard, utf8 support tcp/ip, keyboard layouts:western,cyrillic,hebrew,greek)"

The miniature operating system can be downloaded at MenuetOS.net.
