While not directly tech related, a great desk accessory I recently picked up is the Ensign Group Scrap-Ma-Bob Cup and Bag Clamp-On Holder.

This cup holder (that also has an optional small trash bag hanging from it) can clamp onto nearly any desk. As I am constantly running out of room on all of my glass desks, last month I decided to buy this Ensign Group Scrap-Ma-Bob Cup and Bag Clamp-On Holder for storing my beverage.

This cup-holder simply has a screw-down clamp to secure itself to any flat surface and the cup holder is especially wide. It has no problems handling half-liter German beer bottles, large beer glasses, etc. There's also room for glasses with handles. It's a simple product but it works well and I figure there's many Phoronix readers out there that would like such a cup holder to better handle your glasses to squeeze a bit more space out of your desk and reduce the chance of spilling your drink over any computer parts.

With its metal construction, near universal fit, and large size, it works out really well for my needs and at just over $20 USD is a good buy regardless whether you plan to use the attached mini garbage bin. Those looking for this little desk accessory can find it at Amazon.com. Those buying from that Amazon.com affliate link will also go to support the site and our Linux hardware operations.
