There might be an E19 release real soon.

The Enlightenment camp most recently released E19 RC3 as the latest development version of their lightweight but powerful window manager. E19 is a huge update in that it has its standalone Wayland compositor, better HiDPI support, and many other features. E19 is quite a feature-packed release.

As usual, Enlightenment developers don't put out a firm release plan for each update but it's sort of mysteriously left up in the air, as are many of their communications. It can be presumed though that E19 should be out relatively soon given that they are up to their third release candidate, etc.

Anyhow, posted to this morning on the E19 release manager blog was the following statement, "Someone seems to have been starting up rumors about E19 release being this week. I don’t know who’s doing it, but they should knock it off this instant. If I find out who it was, they are going to be so grounded. No dessert for a month!"

As the Enlightenment developers tend to have a peculiar sense of humor with most of their release communications, it's difficult to tell whether they're implying the release is actually coming out or they are genuinely looking to dispel a rumor of an E19 release this week -- I hadn't heard such rumor up until reading this posting.
