Coming up in just one month is the annual developer's conference for X.Org, which also entails Mesa, Wayland, and other Linux graphics/input related projects.

XDC2014 is being hosted in Bordeaux, France from 8 to 10 October. This year's event is being organized by Nouveau contributor and X.Org Foundation board member Martin Peres.

There's more than 50 developers signed up with a wide range of interests from Wayland to OpenGL to libinput and X.Org Server 1.17. So far there's many talk proposals while the official deadline for submitting your talk is tomorrow, after that the submission of new talks is limited to availability.

Unfortunately there won't be any in-person Phoronix coverage of this year's X.Org Developers' Conference due to a reduced travel budget. I, however, will be trying to do live coverage via IRC and any audio/video recordings from the event and slide uploads.
