Garry Newman announced today that the popular Garry's Mod game has sold six million copies thus far.

Garry's Mod is the popular sandbox physics game built off Valve's Source Engine. Garry's Mod retails currently for $9.99 USD on Linux, OS X, and Windows via Steam. Of the six million units sold, 336,765 were from OS X users while only 28,322 were from Linux gamers, per Garry's post on Twitter.

While Linux represents just a fraction of the sales, Garry's Mod for Linux only came out last year long after it was available on Windows, etc. The Steam Linux gaming market-share is still just around 1% right now. At the end of the day it's not too big of a surprise seeing the very low sales for Garry's Mod on Linux given the current situation.

Those wanting to try out the physics game can buy it on Steam.
