Linux 3.17-rc5 Kernel Released

Linus Torvalds put out another Sunday release candidate for Linux 3.17.

The Linux 3.17-rc5 kernel update makes up for 3.17-rc4 being small and is big enough that Linus won't be considering an early release of Linux 3.17. Noteworthy to Phoronix readers is an old performance regression having been fixed, as noted in the release announcement. At the end of the day though Linux 3.17-rc5 is a fairly normal release for this stage of the release cycle and is bringing just various bug/regression fixes.
