While E19 didn't come out last week as talked about, it was released this morning! The Enlightenment E19 update is a huge upgrade over E18 or E17, especially if you're an early Wayland adopter.

Among the highlights of this stable 2014 update to Enlightenment include:

- Full Wayland support including its rewritten Wayland compositor.

- A new tiling module.

- A new compositor API.

- Better HiDPI support.

The full list of changes and download links for Enlightenment's E19 update can be found via phab.enlightenment.org. Now to look forward to E20 in 2015 and wonder what Wayland improvement and other innovations we'll see out of this largely Samsung sponsored project.

- Various other improvements and new features.
