SUSE
On Monday Phoronix was the first to report from the point that SUSE's parent company was bought out in what's now being referred to as a merger of The Attachmate Group and Micro Focus. The openSUSE community has now issued an announcement concerning this recent corporate activity.

Richard Brown relayed a message on the behalf of SUSE's President and General Manager, Nils Brauckmann, that basically everything is alive and well. For SUSE, it's "business as usual" and there's no immediate shifts for the openSUSE community as well. SUSE will remain committed to innovation by open-source and the commercial entity will continue to sponsor the openSUSE project. Basically, everything is being broadcast as all good for now.

The announcement in full can be read on the openSUSE announce list.
