Docker 1.0 Officially Released

Nearly a year and a half past the first public release of Docker, Docker 1.0 is now available.

The Docker 1.0 release is an important milestone for this software container project. Their announcement reads, "This release’s '1.0' label signifies a level of quality, feature completeness, backward compatibility and API stability to meet enterprise IT standards. In addition, to provide a full solution for using Docker in production we’re also delivering complete documentation, training programs, professional services, and enterprise support."

Docker 1.0 adds in a new COPY instruction, improves the ADD instruction, new tooling improvements, API improvements, and dozens of bug-fixes. More information on Docker 1.0 can be found from the Docker Blog.
