UBUNTU
A question and answer session was held today during the Ubuntu Online Summit for those interested in the Mir Display Server and next-generation Unity 8 desktop with its focus on convergence.

Olli Ries, the director of Unity and Mir, had a Q&A with Rick Spencer, Canonical's Engineering VP. Users were able to ask any Ubuntu topic ranging from "when is Adobe Photoshop coming to Ubuntu" to questions about drivers for Mir, Unity 8 plans, etc.

There were no jaw-dropping statements during the hour long session, especially if you're up-to-date on your Phoronix reading like with the Unity 8 desktop preview image for Ubuntu 14.10 and Mark Shuttleworth still expressing plans for first-class driver support with Mir. However, if you're looking to kill an hour, embedded below is the Q&A session in full.
