Version 0.9.0 of the X.Org's xf86-video-modesetting driver, which provides a universal DDX for systems with a DRM/KMS display driver, has been updated.

The xf86-video-modesetting 0.9.0 release has an assortment of fixes and improvements, including the ability to query the cursor size from the kernel, fixes for cursor rendering with hot spots, a build regression against older X.Org servers, and support for server-managed FDs. The support for server-managed FDs is a DDX prerequisite for being able to support running the X.Org Server without root privileges.

The full list of changes for xf86-video-modesetting 0.9.0 can be found via the X.Org mailing list.
