Running With Scissors has announced that they are developing POSTAL: REDUX as a re-done version of Postal 1.

POSTAL: REDUX is the original Postal game redrawn with high definition art and new character models. Many new features will be added too like a co-op mode. Running With Scissors confirmed the forthcoming game on Twitter. They also confirmed the redux game will be available for Linux, Windows, and OS X. The Linux support isn't too much of a surprise given the earlier Postal games were ported to Linux even before the Linux gaming rush of recent years and they've continued supporting Linux over the years.

Postal 1 was originally released in 1997 as a horror, third-person shooter game. The new redux game is being re-made with Unreal Engine 4. POSTAL: REDUX should be exciting and while details are still scarce, Linux gamers can probably bet it will be released next year.
