Xfce 4.12 remains out of sight but Xfdesktop 4.10.3 was released today.

The 4.10.3 release to the Xfce desktop manager (Xfdesktop) was released but it's not overly exciting. The Xfdesktop 4.10.3 stable release features a number of bug-fixes, translation updates, and other minor items.

Today's Xfdesktop 4.10.3 announcement can be read on the Xfce-announce list. Sadly there's nothing new to report at this time on Xfce 4.12 or any other major advancements to this popular, lightweight desktop environment -- as many Xfce users switch to lightweight alternatives like LXQt and Razor-qt for desktops that are lightweight but not stagnate in terms of development.
