Version 0.10 of the HandBrake open-source video transcoder has been released.

The HandBrake 0.10 release brings an H.265 encoder via x265 v1.4, VP8 video encoding using libvpx, and Intel QuickSync Video support. The QuickSync Video support is Windows-only right now but it looks like Intel could be bringing QuickSync Video support to Linux in the future.

HandBrake 0.10 also brings BiCubic scaling support via OpenCL, filter improvements, feature parity with the program's GUI, and other improvements.

More information on the HandBrake 0.10 release is available at HandBrake.fr.
