The Rust Programming Language Blog has shared their plans for scheduling the Rust 1.0 release to happen next year.

The first alpha release of Rust 1.0 is expected on 9 January, the first beta of Rust 1.0 on 16 February, and then there will be one or more six-week beta cycles before tagging the official Rust 1.0.0 release.

Rust 1.0 will commit to stability and hassle-free upgrades for the duration of Rust 1.x. Rust 1.0 will also mark complete core documentation that's in sync with the language and its libraries. The stability of the language should be in place by Rust 1.0 Beta 1.

Those interested in this general purpose, compiled programming language that's designed to support safe and concurrent practices, see the Rust blog post for more details on the v1.0 planing.
