Before going on holiday break, Aaron Plattner at NVIDIA released version 0.9 of the VDPAU library (libvdpau) and of the VDPAU information utility (vdpauinfo).

The libvdpau 0.9 release that serves as a generic wrapper to vendor-specific VDPAU driver implementation adds new decoder profiles for H.264's constrained baseline, extended, progressive high, constrained high, and high 444 predictive. There's also packaging and compiler warning fixes with the libvdpau 0.9 release. More details via the release announcement.

Also released was vdpauinfo 0.9. The 0.9 release adds support for the new H.264 profiles, new --display and --screen command line options, and other fixes.
