Kodi 14.0 Released For The Holidays - Formerly Known As XBMC

Kodi, the rename of XBMC, is out with its first release under the new branding. Besides changing names, Kodi 14.0 brings a number of improvements to this popular open-source multimedia center software.

Kodi 14.0 is codenamed Helix and ships with the latest video codec support via FFmpeg, the Kodi Library has seen significant improvements, add-on improvements were merged, layout support has been added for the virtual keyboard, hardware deinterlacing on the Linux version of Kodi for certain hardware, PVR improvements witrh ASTC sub-channel support, and numerous other enhancements.
