One Of The GNU Games Has Its First 2015 Release Out

If you're not into all of the modern, resource-intensive Linux games or just prefer something more skillful, GNU Chess has been updated for some terminal gaming action.

GNU Chess 6.2.0 was released this morning and while it's a big version bump replacing GNU Chess 6.1.2, the changes aren't too lengthy. GNU Chass 6.2.0 offers better integration with XBoard, a simple man page, and minor bug-fixes.

GNU Chess can be played against the computer from the terminal, but the GPL game itself doesn't have a GUI. GNU Chess though integrates with different chess GUI front-ends to serve as the chess engine, such as its XBoard integration.
