For those getting back into Mesa/Gallium3D driver testing from Git following the holidays, Marek Olšák published another big set of patches this weekend.

Marek has unleashed thirteen new patches for the RadeonSI Gallium3D driver -- the open-source user-space driver supporting AMD's Radeon HD 7000 series graphics cards and newer. Before getting too worked up, the thirteen patches don't deliver any breakthrough features or big performance gains, but mostly comes down to maintenance work and various fixes.

As of writing the patches have yet to land in Mesa Git but can be currently found on the Mesa-dev list while they'll probably end up in Mesa Git in short order.

Coming up shortly on Phoronix will be some fresh Mesa Git benchmarks; if you have any other 2015 test requests, let me know!
