KDE Plasma 5.1 Now In Beta

The beta for KDE Plasma 5's second release is now available ahead of its planned launch in October.

Plasma 5.1 is the first update to Plasma 5 that was released three months ago. The Plasma 5.1 update features new switchers for panels, the restoration of the icon-only task manager, a new System Settings module for switching desktop themes, a new Breeze widget theme, and various other changes.

More details on the Plasma 5.1 Beta (Plasma v5.0.95) release can be found at KDE.org. Those wishing to try out this latest development version of Plasma 5 can find packages for many different Linux distributions.
