Intel's Baking TPM 2.0 Support For Linux

Jarkko Sakkinen of Intel has published his revised patch series for providing Trusted Platform 2.0 (TPM2) support for the Linux kernel.

Version 2.0 of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) specification has been under public review since earlier this year. Jarkko wrote, "This patch set enables TPM2 protocol and provides drivers for FIFO and CRB interfaces. In addition life-cycle model is somewhat improved (but not yet fully fixed) for TPM device drivers. There's still work to do in ref counting and locking but this patch set takes (I believe) the correct interm steps towards right direction."

The TPM 2.0 enablement support will land in the Linux 3.19 kernel at the earliest.
