Just months after launching the Fire TV, Amazon today introduced the Fire TV Stick, which is like a mix of a Roku/Chromecast and the Fire TV.

The Fire TV Stick measures in at 1 x 3.3 inches and plugs into a standard HDMI connection like the Chromecast. The Fire TV Stick allows streaming movies, audio, etc. There's integration support with Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Pandora, and a wide assortment of other services. There's also the basic gaming support like found with the Fire TV.

The Fire TV Stick is powered by a Broadcom Capri 28155 dual-core processor with Broadcom VideoCore4 GPU. The stick has 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of system memory. Dual-band, dual-antenna MIMO 802.11g/n WiFI is supported along with Bluetooth 3.0.

For $39 the Fire TV Stick appears to be quite an interesting little device or it costs just $19 if you pre-order in the next two days as an Amazon Prime subscriber. I've already pre-ordered the Fire TV Stick so will be sharing my thoughts on it upon its official launch date next month.
