UBUNTU
Canonical has come forward today to announce the Canonical Distribution of Ubuntu OpenStack that offers various advantages over the free, community version of Ubuntu OpenStack.

The Canonical Distribution of Ubuntu OpenStack offers "users the widest range of commercially-supported vendor options for storage, software-defined networking and hypervisor from Canonical and its OpenStack partners. It then automates the creation and management of a reference OpenStack based on those choices."

The Canonical Distribution of Ubuntu OpenStack relies on MAAS for physical hardware detection/provisioning and Canonical's Landscape tool for systems management. The Canonical Distribution of Ubuntu OpenStack is currently in public beta for free but is limited up to 10 physical and 10 virtual machines.

More details on the new enterprise offering from Canonical can be found via the press release.
