Jonathan Wiltshire on the behalf of the Debian release team announced this week that Debian 8.0 "Jessie" is frozen.

Now for Jessie's development the focus is solely on bug fixes although there are possible freeze exceptions if absolutely warranted. Debian 8.0 "Jessie" will likely be released as stable sometime in 2015.

The announcement of the expected freeze was posted to the Debian-devel-announce list.
