Just last week Phoronix Test Suite 5.4 Milestone 4 was released but already there's enough changes to warrant the release of PTS 5.4 Milestone 5, with the end of the Lipki development cycle being in sight.

As with the earlier Phoronix Test Suite 5.4 development releases, most of the development continues to be about enriching the next-generation, built-in version of the Phoromatic (Phoromatic.com itself is still on the legacy/deprecated copy for older PTS clients) that's open-source and within the Phoronix Test Suite source tree. Phoromatic is used for managing the Phoronix Test Suite in a centralized manner for entire test farms of systems and carrying out other benchmarks behind-the-firewall, etc. Phoromatic is the popular enterprise choice for managing Phoronix Test Suite systems rather than having to manage systems individually and carrying out routine tests in a fully streamlined manner.

With Phoronix Test Suite 5.4 Milestone 5 the highlights over the past few days of development include:

- Improvements when the Phoronix Test Suite is running as a systemd service.

- Email notifications now being fully implemented by the Phoromatic Server.

- Result comparison improvements via the Phoromatic Server web UI.

- Allowing unscheduled test results to be uploaded to the Phoromatic Server.

- A configurable location for storing Phoromatic Server data.

- Enablement of the root administrator account to Phoromatic Servers.

- Various other visual and feature improvements to the Phoromatic Server.

The latest release of the Phoronix Test Suite can be downloaded from Phoronix-Test-Suite.com and our GitHub. Look for the official Phoronix Test Suite 5.4.0 release in the next few weeks.
