While the Radeon, Nouveau, and LLVMpipe/Softpipe drivers have already supported the OpenGL ARB_clip_control extension, the Intel (i965) driver now finally supports this OpenGL 4.5 extension too.

"This extension provides additional clip control modes to configure how clip space is mapped to window space. This extension's goal is to 1) allow OpenGL to effectively match Direct3D's coordinate system conventions, and 2) potentially improve the numerical precision of the Z coordinate mapping," explains the OpenGL.org registry specification.

Mathias Fröhlich was the developer that worked out the ARB_clip_control support for the Intel Mesa driver and pushed it out today as a nice Easter surprise.
