Earlier this month we covered new Mir features that ended up being incorporated into the Mir 0.10 release. Mir 0.11 is now under development and it's already packing significant improvements.

While Mir 0.11 has yet to be officially released, its change-log is certainly interesting:

- Building on earlier prep work for supporting external displays with the Android drivers, more "plumbing code" has been committed for improving the Android code for supporting external displays with Mir. However, the code isn't quite ready yet for end-users.

- A performance improvement for using optimally-efficiency fragment shading when possible.

- Mir is now using double buffering rather than triple buffering to reduce visible lag and enhance performance.

- Bug fixes.

Those wishing to monitor the progress of Mir 0.11 can do so via the Launchpad-based Mir development repository.
