Yesterday KDE (K Desktop Environment) turned 10! To mark this occasion there was an anniversary event at Technische Akademie Esslingen. At this event they discussed KDE's history as well as looked out to the future -- among the speakers were Matthias Ettrich and Klaus Knopper. More on the celebrations can be found over at KDE News.
