KOffice 1.6 has been released with quite a few features. Krita, the KDE imaging application, now supports magnetic selection, effect layers, color model independence, and full scriptability -- the folks over at KDE now say that it's ready for professional image work. Kexi, the KDE database application, features over 270 improvements in this release. There were also improvements to KFormula. KOffice 1.6 is the last non-bugfix release until KOffice 2.0. The release announcement is over at KDE News.
