Earlier this month I wrote about plans being drafted for Mozilla to deprecate non-secure HTTP support moving forward. Those plans have been firmed up and they announced their intent to phase out non-secure HTTP support.

The announcement is similar to the details shared a few weeks ago where after a yet-to-be-determined date they will only make new Firefox features available to secure web-sites. After that, they'll be gradually phasing out access to browser features for non-secure web-sites.

Those wishing to find out more of the details -- though a lot has yet to be determined -- can visit the Mozilla blog.
