GNOME
The new GNOME 2.18 development cycle is now underway with the release of GNOME 2.17.1. While GNOME 2.16 shaped up to be a fantastic release, GNOME 2.18 will hopefully end up even better. GNOME 2.17.1 is the first development release in this road to GNOME 2.18.0, which is scheduled for release on March 14, 2007. Unfortunately, at the time of writing GARNOME 2.17.1 or GARNOME daily is not available -- though we anticipate that it will be released soon. The GNOME 2.17.1 release announcement can be read on the gnome-announce-list.
