For those excited over the upcoming release of KDE 4.0 later this year, the first Alpha release is now available for download. KDE 4.0 Alpha 1 features a new visual appearance through Oxygen, new frameworks, and a variety of new applications. A visual guide is available on this new KDE alpha release.
