NVIDIA 346.35 Linux Driver Supports Maxwell Mobile GPUs

NVIDIA quietly released the 346.35 Linux graphics driver on Friday.

The 346.35 release marks the first stable version in the NVIDIA 346 series that delivered on VP8 decoding, NVENC, GTK3 control panel, and many other features. There's also GPU over-volting support now under Linux with this updated NVIDIA binary blob, NVENC that works with FFmpeg, X.Org Server 1.17 support, etc.

The NVIDIA 346.35 driver update builds upon these earlier 346 beta changes plus it adds in more fixes and support for new Maxwell-based mobile GPUs: the GeForce GTX 970M, and GeForce GTX 980M. The older GeForce 800A and 800M also finally now appear supported by the Linux driver.
