NVIDIA 355.11 Driver Stabilizes The Series With Full OpenGL For EGL
NVIDIA has released the 355.11 Linux driver today, which is their first stable release in the 355.xx series.
The NVIDIA 355.11 doesn't bring too much over the big changes of NVIDIA 355.06, which was the lone public beta for the 355 series. The NVIDIA 355 series brought experimental full OpenGL support to EGL, support for new H.264 VDPAU profiles, a new NVIDIA kernel module build system, added support for some new EGL extensions, adds support for the GeForce GTX 950, and has a whole lot of bug-fixes.
In part thanks to the underlying changes made in NVIDIA 355, I have a hunch we're just one or two release series away from seeing the NVIDIA binary working properly with Wayland.
All of the NVIDIA 355.11 Linux driver details can be found via the public change-log at NVIDIA.com.
