For those wanting the bleeding-edge NVIDIA Vulkan driver support, a new beta was pushed out today providing same-day support for the Vulkan 1.0.61 update.

Vulkan 1.0.61 introduces a few new extensions: VK_KHR_bind_memory2, VK_KHR_image_format_list, VK_KHR_maintenance2, and VK_KHR_sampler_ycbcr_conversion.

The NVIDIA Linux 381.26.17 Linux driver (and 383.12 Windows driver) add support for these new extensions while dropping support for the old VK KHX experimental extensions now that they were promoted to stable (KHR) for external memory and semaphores. The Vulkan loader was also updated and there are various bug fixes.

This first NVIDIA Vulkan beta update in nearly one month can be found via developer.nvidia.com.

Meanwhile on Mesa-dev are some of the new 1.0.61 extension patches for the Intel ANV Vulkan driver as well as some RADV patches.
