NVIDIA has rolled out updated binary Linux drivers for their pre-Fermi legacy drivers for supporting X.Org Server 1.19.

Days after last month's big X.Org Server 1.19 release, they followed closely with their updated NVIDIA Linux driver to provide support for their new ABI. Coming out now is support for xorg-server 1.19 with the older NVIDIA cards.

NVIDIA 340.101 provides support for X.Org Server 1.19 on pre-Fermi hardware. The 304.134 driver is for even older hardware, supporting all the way back to the GeForce 6 series.

The only other change listed besides supporting the new xserver ABI is fixing a bug with the NVIDIA installer that attempted to load kernel modules that were built against non-running kernels.
