It seems that Nintendo quietly joined The Khronos Group this month.

Nintendo has joined The Khronos Group as a contributing member alongside the over 100 other companies currently involved in the development and continuation of Khronos APIs like OpenGL, OpenCL, and the upcoming Vulkan and SPIR-V specifications.

There was no big press showing when Nintendo joined Khronos, but it was quitely discovered with their logo now appearing on new Khronos member references.

It will be interesting to monitor Nintendo's involvement at Khronos and whether their new devices will make vigorous use of new Khronos APIs like Vulkan.
