LINUX EVENTS
We've known about this since April at the last Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit when this event was in planning stage, but today the Linux Foundation has announced their first end-user summit. The first Linux Foundation End-User Summit will take place in New York, NY this October. The Linux Foundation is hoping this event will bring Linux desktop users together with kernel developers and Linux vendors to increase the level of interaction between these different groups.

The tentative program for this summit has talks on Real-Time Linux, virtualization, performance tuning, file-systems, and the future of Linux. More information regarding this summit can be found on the Linux Foundation Wiki.
