Nmap 7.40 Brings Improvements For Holiday Port Scanning

The Nmap Network Mapper security scanner program has done a holiday release "in case your Christmas break plans involve a lot of port scanning."

The Nmap 7.40 release includes 12 new NSE scripts, many updates to OS and version detection signatures, faster brute force authentication cracking, much-improved Npcap Windows packet capturing driver/library, and many other changes since the October release of Nmap 7.31.
