Open Document Format 1.2 Makes It As Latest ISO/IEC Standard

The Document Foundation announced this week that ODF (Open Document Format) v1.2 has been published as an international standard by the ISO/IEC.

ODF 1.2 is the current native fiel format of LibreOffice. Outside of LibreOffice, ODF is supported by other programs and is also sought by a wide-range of organizations for ensuring document interoperability.
